Traditional sloppy joes are oh so delicious but usually pretty high in sugar and fat. Most recipes have ketchup and brown sugar and are made with beef that is higher in fat than we will use here. Using a leaner ground beef (I typically recommend 90% or above for most recipes) and one magic ingredient you’ll find these sloppy joes are full of flavor and have NO added sugar! My favorite way to serve these is stuffed inside of a sweet or white potato where the insides have been scooped out. It’s also awesome as a sandwich on a toasted dave’s killer bun. I’ve even used it as protein on a salad! You can’t go wrong with this sweet and tangy lightened up sloppy Joe!
INGREDIENTS:
🔹1 lb 90% lean (or higher) grass fed ground Beef

🔹1 tsp chili Powder
🔹¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper, to your spice preference (optional, you can leave out if you don’t want spice)
DIRECTIONS:

🔹Cook the first 5 ingredients in a skillet on medium heat until the beef is done.
🔹Turn the heat to low and add sloppy joes sauce to the beef mixture.
🔹Stir to combine and simmer on very low heat for 5 min or so to let the flavors meld.
