Autumn has arrived, bringing with it a delightful selection of seasonal products at Trader Joe's. I've curated a list of my favorite nutritious options for you to add to your cart this fall!
Remember: Pairing high-carb or high-fat foods with protein can help balance your meal and increase satiety. Trader Joe's offers a variety of food items, from pantry staples to seasonal treats, many of these products can be incorporated into a balanced diet. However, it's important to mention, individual needs and goals will influence the specific foods and portion sizes.

Now, let's take a look at the exciting seasonal offerings at Trader Joe's!
Sweet Chili Mango Chopped Salad
Wanting to swap out the dressing in this? I have a blog post for that! See my blog post: Dress Up Your Salad: Light and Flavorful Options to Keep You on Track
Spaghetti Squash
Spaghetti squash is a great substitute for spaghetti noodles. Try it with a marinara or meat sauce, in this delicious recipe (an Erin Stimac top recipe!) or even in your favorite Asian inspired dish like Pad Thai.
Pumpkin Butter
Coming in at 40 cals per tablespoon (10 grams of carbs, 9 grams of sugar) and offering 20 percent of your daily vitamin A, pumpkin butter could be a great addition to high protein waffles or pancakes, roasted veggies, sweet potatoes, soups and even used as a salad dressing! Just watch your portion with this one.
Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew Concentrate
Perfect for your morning coffee routine, Trader Joe's is offering their seasonal pumpkin spice cold brew concentrate. Use this in place of plain cold brew in my high protein iced coffee recipe for a fun fall twist.
Sugar Bee Apples
Another produce seasonal find at TJ's: the sugar bee apple. Described as sweet and crisp, use them in salad, paired with cheese for a hearty snack, or by themselves.
Autumnal Harvest Soup
Colder weather calls for comfort foods. Although this soup does not boast of a lot of protein, it comes in at about 150 calories per cup with 4 grams of fiber. Pair this with a lean protein and perhaps boost the nutritional profile by adding spinach or kale for a yummy fall meal.
Wild Caught Cod Fillets
These wild caught cod fillets are described as "firm, yet remarkably flaky with a deliciously sweet flavor profile." Throw on a sheet pan with some vegetables and you have yourself a high protein weeknight dinner.
White Stilton Cheese
This light, slightly tangy cheese makes for a great snack with apples or pears or atop a seasonal harvest salad with chicken. Although calorie dense, things like this Stilton cheese can be included in a well rounded diet that is conscious of portion sizes and keeping well balanced plates.
Gluten Free Pumpkin Ravioli
Craving pasta? This is great portion controlled with grilled chicken and a lighter marinara!
Canned Organic Pumpkin
Although you can find this year round, don't forget to pick up this organic pumpkin that can be used for my macro friendly chili (a dish with a reputation for being a crown pleaser!) and delicious pumpkin coconut flour muffins.
Organic Sparkling Rose Tea
This sparkling tea beverage, available with Trader Joe's autumn seasonal items, would be a great base for a refreshing mocktail for your fall get-togethers!
Caramelized Onion Goat's Milk Cheese
This caramelized onion goat milk cheese would make a great addition to burgers and sandwiches, crumbled on a salad, used as a dip with crackers like the Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps shown below, or added to a meat and veggie tray.
Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps
Need a crunchy option? These can be portion controlled and dipped in the caramelized cheese above or used as croutons for a salad or soup topper.
Pumpkin Pie Spice
Don't forget the pumpkin pie spice! Trader Joe's is known for having an array of handy spices and this one is at the top over everyone's list during the autumn seasons. An important ingredient in my pumpkin muffins and could also be used to flavor coffee or tea.
Harvest Blend Herbal Tea
This one is delicious! If you're craving a warm, cozy beverage without the caffeine or sugar, check out this Harvest Blend Herbal Tea from TJ's. It hits the spot on a cool autumn day!
With so many delicious and nutritious seasonal options available at Trader Joe's, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're looking to try something new or stock up on your favorites, be sure to check out their seasonal selection. Happy shopping!
